Delson de Queiroz
Delson de Queiroz is a Forest Engineer from Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) and a master's degree in Production Engineering from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE-UFRJ), has more than 30 years of professional experience in ecological restoration, forest inventory, and management of natural areas, he has been involved more than 25 contracts covering the elaboration of projects and the execution of services of the restoration in the stages of planting, maintenance, and monitoring in the Atlantic Forest biome.
In the last 10 years, he has accumulated experience in the management of visitation in protected areas, as a strategy for the conservation and restoration of ecosystems, taking advantage of their more than taking advantage of its experience of more than 35 years of sport practice in mountaineering. At the Rio de Janeiro State Mountain Sports Federation (FEMERJ), he has collaborated since 2005, as Environmental Director, President and Technical Director; and also with the Brazilian Mountaineering and Climbing Confederation (CBME) since 2015, as Technical Director.
At IIS he has focus on the field of ecological restoration, working mainly with the project “On the Atlantic Forest trail: restoring landscapes and strengthening local production chains in the Central Fluminense Mosaic”.
