Marcos Mendes


Has a degree in Economic Sciences and is currently a master's student in Public Policy, Strategies and Development Program at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Worked as a research assistant at the Environment Economics and Sustainable Development Group (GEMA / IE / UFRJ) in projects on the themes of Payments for Environmental Services (PSA), Environmental Reserve Quotas (CRA), environmental valuation and economics of Conservation Units (CUs) in Brazil, among others. Is co-author of two chapters of the book “How much Green Worth", published by CI-Brasil, and winner in co-authorship of the “V Brazilian Forest Service Award (SFB)” in Economics and Forest Market Studies in the undergraduate category. Currently works as a researcher in Economics at the International Institute for Sustainability (IIS).
