Fernanda Tubenchlak, from IIS, talks about restoration in Rio de Janeiro state during the II Meeting of the Fluminense forestry observatory

Fernanda Tubenchlak, research assistant at the International Institute for Sustainability (IIS), made a presentation called “Restoration in the state of Rio de Janeiro: current panorama, challenges and opportunities” at the II Meeting of the Fluminense Forestry Observatory (OFF).

The OFF Meeting was an initiative from the Forest Service of the Environmental State Institute (INEA) organized to discuss advances and challenges, as well as to promote the exchange of experiences on forest restoration in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The main theme of the event was the new Inea Resolution No. 143/2017, which established the State System of Forest Restoration Evaluation and Monitoring – SEMAR.
