IIS article wins Sustainability Science Best Paper Awards 2014

“The article “”Biophysical suitability, economic pressure and land-cover change: a global probabilistic approach and in-sights for REDD +”” has just been awarded as one of the three best articles of 2014 on Sustainability Science journal. The study was coordinated by two IIS members: the executive director Bernardo Strassburg and the director of Research and Projects Agnieszka Latawiec. The Modeling Analyst Alvaro Iribarrem was one of the authors of the study, that also included researchers from Hungary and UK.rnThe award “”Sustainability Science Best Paper Award”” is given to authors of studies appointed by members of the editorial board based on their scientific merits and their contribution to the field of Science of Sustainability, or studies with large amount of access and excellent grades review.
