Helena Alves

Sustainability Analyst

Helena holds a PhD in Ecology and Evolution from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), a Master’s degree in Ecology and Biodiversity, and a Bachelor’s degree in Ecology from São Paulo State University (UNESP). She also holds a postgraduate qualification in Project Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). Her work focuses on the interface between biodiversity conservation and climate change, with experience in topics such as Nature-based Solutions (NbS), environmental planning and terrestrial fauna.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated on projects of different scopes and scales, carried out by third-sector organisations, public institutions and consultancies. She has contributed to technical assessments, spatial analyses, database organisation and the development of strategic materials aimed at supporting sustainability and data-driven decision-making.
