Thainá Gulias

Executive Assistant for Strategy and Science

Thainá Gulias holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and a postgraduate degree in Science Teaching from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), complemented by an MBA in Sustainability and Circular Economy from PUC-RS. Her academic background bridges education and sustainability. As a researcher, she focused on fish ecology and climate change impacts, earning the 1st Prize in the Evandro R. de Britto/CRBio-2 Scientific Award and the 2nd Prize in the Lúcia Bastos Award (UERJ). She also holds certifications in ESG, laboratory safety, and active teaching methodologies.
With diverse experience, she worked as a science and biology teacher, applying her expertise in education to develop innovative pedagogies. In the environmental sector, she served as an EHS Assistant at International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF), where she was responsible for internal and external environmental audits, ensuring legal compliance with public agencies, while leading award-winning projects (Latam Awards IFF 2023) with recycling NGOs to advance circular economy initiatives. Currently, as Executive Assistant to Management at the International Institute of Sustainability (IIS), she combines her skills in education, research and sustainable management, with strong organizational and technological abilities.
