Join the discussion panel “Ambitious and synergistic goals for COPs decisions on Climate (COP27) and Biodiversity (COP15)”, which will be held on January 26, 2023 (Thursday), from 10 am to 12 pm (GMT+3) as part of the Trade, Development & the Environment – UKRI GCRF TRADE Hub Brazil event.
Specialists such as Marcello Boggio (FAO), Gustavo Mañez Gomis (UNEP) and Bráulio Dias (UnB) will present the opportunities and challenges discussed in both United Nations Conferences. Matheus Couto (UNEP-WCMC) will point out multilateral initiatives to face the global challenges in both areas and Rafael Loyola (IIS) will present a summary of recommendations for conservation actions and restoration of ecosystems to achieve ambitious and synergistic goals.

The event is held by the International Institute for Sustainability (IIS) in partnership with the World Conservation Monitoring Center of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP-WCMC), Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (Cebrap), Instituto de Manejo and Forestry and Agricultural Certification (Imaflora) and WWF-Brazil. We will also have speakers from the University of Brasília (UnB), the United Nations Program for the Environment in Brazil (PNUMA) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Brazil (FAO).
